Event: Chandon x The Sip Society VIP Brunch

I attended a fabulous brunch with the creators of The Sip Society and Chandon brand educators. The brunch event was also attended by other local creators from Northern California. The brunch was held at Alley & Vine in Alameda.

What is The Sip Society?

The Sip Society Founders Erica Davis and Catherine Carter have created a Black-owned discovery platform for sparkling wines. They’re a Black-owned, women-owned brand from Oakland, CA. The Sip offers curated subscription boxes of the best sparkling wine and champagne.

I love how the brand has taken the monthly subscription box concept, makes the world of sparkling wines more approachable and democratizes the wine industry. Learning about the Take a Sip Give a Sip initiative made me even more of a fan of the brand. The initiative is the brand’s charitable component. It was such a pleasure to meet the founders in person and learn more about The Sip Society.

What is the Chandon Garden Spritz?

An interactive live chat, led by Chandon educators and the self-proclaimed Mistresses of Bubbles, Judy Donahoe and Angela Suavé educated us about the Chandon brand. We learned of the origins and history of Chandon, the Garden Spritz, and tips and tricks for how to open wine safely! All this is vital information! The Chandon Garden Spritz itself is the perfect balance between bitterness and sweetness.

The Food and Drinks

I enjoyed light bites that were delicious. Of course, what’s an Influencer event without photo moments? We were able to try the Chandon Garden Spritz with our choice of garnishes. The cocktails were absolutely refreshing. I’ve always thought of the Spritz as a summer drink. Now, I look forward to making cocktails for the upcoming holiday season. After all, celebrations with family and friends could use bubbles all year round. Dried hibiscus, fresh orange, and rosemary had me thinking of ways the Garden Spritz would pair nicely during any celebration. For the desserts, the dark chocolate brownie was superb.

Overall, this was such a fun event! Meeting other creators and members of the food and beverage industry was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Being able to make these connections in person lately has been so much fun.

If you’ve ever wanted to know what an influencer event is like, I hope this helped.

Many thanks to The Sip and Chandon USA for an interactive tasting experience of Chandon Garden Spritz. As always, drink responsibly.

Cheers!

Sheila
