Why Car Camping?

Due to circumstances within our Coachella group, we had to forfeit our AirBnB and hotels were booked and anything remaining was exorbitantly expensive by the time my friend and I booked for weekend 2. Enter car camping. We were able to pay for car camping, borrowed some camping essentials from a friend to still enjoy the Coachella experience. The car camping experience wasn’t at all on my bingo card, but nevertheless, we persisted.

I have linked all car camping essentials here on my Amazon Storefront: Coachella Car Camping Essentials

Tips for Car Camping at Coachella

  1. Bring a portable fan – I can not overstate how hot it can get during the day in the desert. This portable fan was a LIFESAVER.
  2. Stay hydrated with plenty of water and electrolytesthese are my favorite hydrators to add to water to increase my hydration. It’s even helpful to hydrate the days leading up to Coachella. The last thing you want is to be dehydrated and run the risk of passing out.
  3. Get a preferred camping pass. If you weren’t able to snag preferred parking passes, you’ll be fine. Just be prepared to park further from the entrance. In general, the earlier you get to the desert to park the closer you’ll be to the entrance.
